From 2003 to 2007, Uzochukwu attended the University of Texas at Houston Medical school, where he graduated with his Doctor of Medicine. From 2007 to 2009, Dr. Odili completed 2 years of General Surgery Residency at UT Houston. From 2010 to 2013, Dr. Odili completed a Family Medicine Residency Program at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple,Texas, and from 2012 to 2013, served as Chief Resident. In 2013, Dr. Odili received the Scott & White Family Medicine Resident Teacher of the Year Award.

Dr. Odili has practiced as an Emergency Room Physician in several Houston area hospitals and Urgent Care Clinics in both Central Texas and the Greater Houston Area. Dr Odili is board certified by the ABFM and licensed to practice medicine and in the state of Texas. His current ER certifications include BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, NRP and NRCME. In 2014, he was honored as Physician of the Year for Medspring Urgent Care in the Houston region, and in 2015, he became an Assistant Medical Director for Medspring Urgent Care in Houston.

Since 2016, Dr. Odili has served as Medical Director for APEX Urgent Care Clinic, winners of the People Love Us on Yelp award in 2016, 2017, and 2018. In 2018, Dr. Odili was awarded a Houstonia Magazine Physician of the Year Award for Emergency Medicine. In 2019, he authored Vaping 101: A Q&A Guide for Parents and Teachers to provide a physician’s advice on how to keep teens safe from the dangers of vaping. In 2020, he authored his second book, Coronavirus on my Mind, a personal account of the journey from normal life to the madness of COVID-19 and our struggles to get back to some sense of normalcy.

Dr. Odili is a medical contributor to the Fort Bend Community Prevention Coalition and volunteers as a guest speaker for various community Town Hall discussions on health and well being. In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports with his sons, including soccer, racquetball and basketball.
